PRIVATE LESSONS

Private lessons are taught on a weekly basis and are either 30 or 45 minutes in length. The length of the lesson is generally determined by age, previous experience, and the attention span of the student. Students as young as age 3 are welcome!

Traditional lessons are available for students in grades 5 through 12 who have already started their flute journey in their school music program.

Students are required to have their instrument, their notebook and a pencil, foot chart (if using), and solo materials and studies at their lesson each week.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT

Parents play an essential role in the musical development of their children. Parents of beginner students attend lessons, take notes, assist with at-home practice, and ensure that the Suzuki CD is played at home. Parents of older children are also welcome to attend lessons.

Group Class
GROUP CLASSES

Group classes are a a great way for students to practice playing with and listening to one another. Games and activities reinforce skills that are taught in private lessons. Both students and parents will find the social aspect of group lessons motivating and rewarding.

More on Listening...

Listening is a fundamental tenant of the Suzuki method. Just as children learn words after hearing them spoken hundreds of times by others, they also learn music through repetitive listening. Listening to music every day is essential.
